Main menu systems

The first thing to learn in v0.1 is the main menu, which contains every major system:

• Shop — buy partners, equipment, and materials.
• Tech Upgrades — increase your odds of getting higher-tier gear.
• Partners — manage units you spawn and units that appear automatically.
• Analysis — personal progression levels that stay permanent.
• Quests — look for the exclamation mark above NPCs to trigger dialogue and unlock rewards.

Analysis upgrades are permanent across sessions, so they are worth building over time. Quest NPCs do not always stand in the same spot — Plunger, for example, reportedly spawns after defeating a Rocket Toilet in certain situations.

Best beginner weapons

You start with the Glock, but it is one of the weakest weapons. Recommended loadout:

The simplest damage combo: Stungun → Revolver → Large Laser. This deals around 700 damage in a few seconds. For certain situations, swap the Revolver for the Parasite Disabler.

Jetpack and movement

Jetpacks are central to v0.1 traversal. Get Jetpack V1 first — it lasts a long time before you need V2.

Key trick: do not spam the jump button. Time your second jump around the peak of your first jump. You can also press Z while using the jetpack to activate a boost for extra speed.

Best units to get first

Recommended first unit: Cam Strider. The Dropship can be more effective in some cases, but units dropped by Dropship may not count as your own for resource purposes. Cam Strider is also required before you can get the upgraded Cam Strider version, making it valuable early mastery.

For playable characters, consider starting with:

• Dark Speaker
• Speakerwoman

Camerawoman is decent but not the most enjoyable. Titan TV is important but better unlocked later.

How partners work

Partners fight alongside you during missions. Early on, partners can handle much of the work while you build equipment. A key detail: kills from your own spawned partners give you resources, so spawn your own partners rather than relying entirely on automatic units.

Camera characters have significantly more variants available, making them a generally good group to focus on.

Tech and enemy progression

Tech upgrades mainly increase the chance of getting higher-tier equipment from drops and shops. Enemies also have their own Tech progression — as you enter harder modes, they gain:

• Better armor
• Larger sizes
• Stronger upgrades
• Lasers, rockets, and other weapons

This means enemy composition changes significantly between Easy and harder modes.

Shattered Bond mode

One of the best modes for grinding is Shattered Bond (1–7 waves). Best setup: Giant Screen with Cinema titan, or Titan 1.0 Trio. Playing in a party makes it easier.

Wave strategy:

1. Kill ranged enemies and burst damage dealers first (e.g., Rocket Launcher Toilet).
2. From wave 3 onward, hide behind buildings and avoid lasers.
3. In wave 4, protect the purification tank and support forces from IUTSM.
4. At wave 5, distract IUTSM so he cannot attack the tank and support forces.
5. Once IUTSM’s infection is removed, proceed to G-Decoy together.

IUTSM disinfect requires: Cinema or a few titans. Encounter IUTSM at wave 5 of Shattered Bones or the X wave of Infinity Mode. Protect the anti-parasite tank, let it shoot IUTSM until he falls, then deal 1,000 damage to remove the parasite.

Best grind results:

• Normal Mode 1–15: ~450 kills per 30–40 minutes.
• Shattered Bond 1–4: ~110 kills per 6–7 minutes (with Cinema).

How to earn resources fast

The most effective method: play Shattered Bond in a party with Giant Screen (Cinema) or Titan 1.0 Trio. Resources earned in Shattered Bond can be exchanged for the specific scraps you need — this is the most efficient way to spend them.

Giant Screen (Titan Screen) tips

When chaining Giant Screen skills, never start with M1 — it has a long endlag. Use Claw or Stomp first.

Do not worry about the Screen gauge on the left — it never runs out. If surrounded, use Teleport to escape. The Tackle ability does not hit small enemies; use it for movement or giant targets only.

Overall: Giant Screen excels in all directions except long range. Avoid ranged combat, use Teleport and Tackle to engage up close, and do not hesitate to use RSOD — it is the most powerful skill.

Recommended spend priority

Most materials are not worth buying at their current prices. The main exception is Camcorder Memory, depending on your progression needs. Enhanced Scrap costs around 125 resources and also requires other scrap types — generally avoid unless specific upgrades demand it.

How to unlock playables

To equip Playable Protocol, reach Knowledge level 2. Titans have additional requirements:

• Titan TV requires: 2 Tech, 2 Strength, and Universe Pieces.
• TCM requires: 2 Strength.
• TSM requires: 2 Morale.

Titans also require Universe Pieces. Non-Titan playables may have different requirements depending on the character.

What to focus on as a beginner

1. Get better weapons: Stungun, Revolver, Large Laser.
2. Learn how your jetpack works (time second jump, use Z for boost).
3. Unlock useful Partners and spawn your own units.
4. Build resources through your own spawned partners.
5. Keep an eye on quests — exclamation marks above NPCs.
6. Watch out for tiny enemies that can hide behind roads.

Watch out for small enemies

Some tiny enemies can get stuck behind roads or environmental geometry because of their small size. Always check around the battlefield if you think an enemy is still alive but cannot immediately see it. Small enemies hiding in awkward locations can catch you off guard.
