TCU : RE-CODE How to get X-18 G-BOSS

Quest the X-18 Mask and Cube, then treat Power ON as a timed burst, not a permanent buff.

How to Get X-18

X-18 (listed on Trello as X18 G-BOSS) is the fat-HP titan people chase after the Trio. Open Studios’ full unlock video sits in the middle of this page. The unit tier list already ranks G-BOSS as a veteran flex. This guide is the how to get half: quest name, drop rates, protocol rules, and the Power ON drain that deletes players who leave it on for the whole match.

If you do not own any titan yet, start with Titan Trio and getting started. X-18 is not a first Easy Mode craft.

What you are unlocking

Trello Playable Titans lists X18 G-BOSS at 450,000 HP, 1.65× damage resistance, and Fast walk. Power ON boosts damage, burns 2,500 HP per second for 45 seconds (112,500 HP total), and only buffs Normal mode. You can switch Normal ↔ Gun. That kit is why the tier list talks about him as a boss-hunt tool, not a beginner partner.

Titan Protocol still applies: one of each titan on the field, and a dead X-18 cannot come back until the match ends. Read the protocol note on the Trio page before you waste the spawn on trash toilets.

Materials and the Code Name : X18 quest

Trello Materials names:

  • X-18 Mask — used to craft X-18 G-BOSS, from CODE NAME : X18.
  • X-18 batteries — 0.5% from any zombie enemy.
  • X-18 Cube — 0.05% from any zombie enemy. Auto-farm scripts advertise cube grinding; that is a ban conversation on the scripts hub, not a recommended route.

Zombie Mode is the farm, not Easy Mode. If Zombie is off-rotation after a patch, stop refreshing Casual for a cube that cannot drop. Confirm the mode card on Trello and Discord.

Some players report a gamepass gate on certain X-18 variants. The Open Studios comments mention gamepass for private rooms and for some crafts. Check the in-game craft card. This wiki will not invent a Robux price that is not on the card.

Unlock loop

  1. Redeem codes so Zombie Mode attempts are not starving you of Resources for heals and banners.
  2. Run Zombie until Mask / Cube / batteries show up. 0.05% cubes are a long farm. That is intended.
  3. Finish CODE NAME : X18 in the quest list. Trello links the quest card from the Mask row.
  4. Craft X-18 from the Crafting menu (same hammer-and-anvil drawer as Prometheus).
  5. Spawn via Titan Protocol at the golden toilet in the map center. If another X-18 is already on the field, you wait.

Sandbox can let you test the moveset if you own the 299 Robux pass. Sandbox does not skip the Mask drop unless FStudio says so on the quest card.

How not to waste the titan

  • Do not pop Power ON at full HP “because it is a buff.” You are lighting 112k HP on fire.
  • Power ON buffs Normal, not Gun. Switch with intent.
  • If X-18 dies, you are done with that body for the match. Play Hard Mode and Denver as if you have one life.
  • Recode is upcoming. End-game playables are the ones FStudio said may get compensation instead of a 1:1 restore. Screenshot the craft. See Recode migration.

Budget Universe Pieces and zombie time with the resource planner. If a YouTube comment says “just use Sandbox,” compare it to the quest text before you skip a week of Zombie Mode.

Zombie Mode notes

Zombie is a special playlist, not a Casual Easy reskin. When the vote card is missing, FStudio has rotated it off. Do not sit in public Easy hoping a 0.05% cube will drop from a Mafia toilet — that 1% Glitch Toilet roll is a different table. Confirm the mode on Trello Modes and Bosses, then run the playlist until Mask, batteries, and Cube all show in Materials.

Batteries at 0.5% stack. You will see batteries long before the Cube. Craft cards that still want batteries after you own the Cube are not a bug; dump extras into Kleiner only if the card is already green. Auto-farm ads that promise “cube in minutes” are the scripts conversation, not a recommended farm.

Power ON is a 45-second window. Count it out loud. Switch back to Gun if you need the other kit, then return to Normal only when you intend to burn HP. Hard Mode and Denver punish a dead X-18 harder than Easy ever will, because Titan Protocol will not give you a second body.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for TCU : RE-CODE players.

Where does the X-18 Cube drop?

Trello lists a 0.05% drop from any zombie enemy. Easy Mode toilets do not replace Zombie Mode for that roll.

What is Power ON?

A 45-second damage buff that drains 2,500 HP per second and only buffs Normal mode. Do not leave it on.

Can two X-18s exist?

No. Titan Protocol: one of each titan. A dead X-18 cannot be summoned again until the match ends.

Will Recode keep X-18?

Recode is upcoming. End-game playables may be compensated instead of restored. Keep the badge/craft proof.
