TCU : RE-CODE Getting started in Toilet Collapsed Universe

Toilet Collapsed Universe (TCU) is a Roblox wave fighter from FStudio / Frost Workshop with online co-op through a partner unit. TCU : RE-CODE is the upcoming rebuild on a new place — it is not live yet — so everything in this beginner guide applies to the current legacy experience with more than 7.1 million visits on the official game page. Your first hour should focus on Config codes, one clean Easy Mode clear, and a beginner-safe banner, not on Hard Mode or Titan Protocol gambling.

Open the official experience, wait for the lobby HUD, then open Menu in the bottom-left. You will see Event, Casual, and Private queues. Casual is the default learning lane. Private is useful when you want a quiet Easy farm or a Glitch Toilet grind without random teammates. Event appears when FStudio is running a limited playlist — skip it until you understand basic movement and partner commands.

First ten minutes checklist

1. Redeem TheLastAct and TCU in Menu → Config. RecodeIsSoon is unconfirmed — see expired codes. Full steps live on how to redeem; the live table is on the codes hub.
2. Pick a playable from Camera, Speaker, TV, Toilet, Survivor, or a gamepass / multiverse unlock you already own.
3. Pick a partner. Partners fight with you for the whole match — this is how TCU does online co-op even when you queue alone.
4. Queue Easy (10 waves, 240 Resources, 2 Toilet Souls). The finale is G-Man 1.0.
5. Learn to type ?end if a round soft-locks or you need to leave without closing Roblox.
6. After the clear, spend Resources on a Refined / Genesis banner, not a Standard Camera or Speaker banner.

If Config rejects a code, check the expired list before you assume a typo. Codes are case-sensitive and never redeem through Roblox chat.

Choosing your first playable and partner

Playables are the character you control. Partners are AI-assisted allies you select in the lobby. Camera lines reward aim and lens tools. Speaker lines lean into crowd control and audio bursts. TV lines (including Scientist TV variants) bring utility and capture tools that matter for Glitch Toilet quests later. Toilet and Survivor options exist for players who already own those unlocks. Gamepass and multiverse characters can skip parts of the early grind, but they are not required for Easy Mode.

For a first partner, prefer something durable that does not steal every kill animation while you learn. Once you understand positioning, graduate toward partners ranked highly on the unit tier list — Chief Camera and Camerawoman 3.0 are long-term Hard Mode targets, not day-one expectations. Easy Mode goals beyond the clear reward

Easy Mode is short on purpose. Use it to practice dodging toilet rushes, watching your partner aggro, and finding the Titan Protocol pedestal at map center near the golden toilet. You may summon one of each titan per match. If a titan dies, you cannot resummon that titan until the match ends — so do not panic-summon UTCM on wave 2. Wave 6 on Easy can spawn a Mafia toilet with a 1% chance toward Glitch Toilet. You do not need Glitch on day one, but remember that capturing it later uses Scientist Mech special tools — killing alone is not enough for the Data Accelerator quest. Details sit in How to Get Units.

Spending your first Resources

Banners cost 120 Resources and rotate hourly. After codes plus one Easy clear you should have enough for several pulls. Beginner-safe banners:

• Vigilance Ascendant (Refined)
• Verdict of the Void (Genesis) — strongly recommended
• Resonance of Ascension
• Doomsday Covenant

Avoid Standard Unveiling the Shadow and Echoes of Rebirth while you are new; their rate tables waste early Resources. Verdict of the Void highlights include Scientist Screen (Ultra), Screen Spider (Mythical), Screen Woman 3.0 (Legendary), drones, and Shadow Killer / Runner lines. Track pulls with the resource planner if you like spreadsheets more than vibes.

Controls before your second queue

Skim the controls guide so you know ability keys on desktop and the reduced mobile UTCM set (Stomp, Dash, Flash Cannon). Recode is expected to add a hitbox displayer and reworked keybinds later — ignore that until the rebuild ships. For now, stay on legacy inputs and finish Casual Easy without titan dependency.

What not to do in hour one

• Do not spend every Resource on Titan Protocol cosmetics you will not keep 1:1 after Recode — see Recode migration.
• Do not queue solo Denver / Invasion as a first mode; it is brutal and exists mainly to unlock G-Squad shop content.
• Do not chase Hard Mode until you own a strong playable (Astro Polycephaly or upgraded ETV) and a strong partner.
• Do not paste codes into chat or third-party sites claiming faster redeem.

After Easy Mode

Clear Medium once for the Resource jump, then decide between banner grinding, Boss Rush practice, or badge quests such as Camera Woman memory routes. When you are ready for the GMAN 3.0 gauntlet, open Hard Mode. When you need titan value rankings, use the titans tier list. Legacy TCU is the game you can play today. Recode will replace the old place later with a partial wipe. Learn the live systems now, bank badge partners that are expected to restore, and treat titan upgrades as fun for the current meta rather than guaranteed Recode inventory.
