TCU : RE-CODE TCU RE-CODE v0.1 beginner guide

TCU RE-CODE v0.1 is a Roblox game developed by LunarFrost (created April 25, 2026), not by FStudio who made the legacy Toilet Collapsed Universe. This guide covers the v0.1 experience specifically — a different place, different code system, and different mechanics from the legacy TCU you find at Roblox place 87039960298285. The codes RECODERELEASE and SorryForDelay belong to this v0.1 experience and do not work on legacy TCU.

Main menu overview

The main menu on v0.1 contains the core systems you will use throughout progression:

• Shop — buy partners, equipment, and materials
• Tech Upgrades — permanent progression system that increases your chances of getting higher-tier equipment
• Partners — manage units you spawn yourself and units that appear automatically during combat
• Analysis — personal progression and character levels; these upgrades stay permanently
• Quests — accept tasks from NPCs marked with an exclamation mark; completing them rewards Resources and progression items

Best weapons for beginners

You start with the Glock. Replace it as soon as you can afford a stronger option. Recommended loadout:

• Large Laser
• ED Revolver
• Stungun

Best combo for quick damage: Stungun → Revolver → Large Laser. This deals approximately 700 damage in a few seconds. The Stungun controls the enemy, the Revolver follows up, and the Large Laser finishes. The Parasite Disabler can replace the Revolver in certain situations.

Jetpacks and how to use them

Get Jetpack V1 first. It lasts for a long time, so there is no urgent reason to rush to Jetpack V2. Only buy Jetpack V2 once you genuinely need the upgrade.

Important jetpack trick: do not spam the jump button. Time your second jump around the peak of your first jump. If you press too early or too late, your movement will not work correctly.

Also press Z while using the jetpack to activate a boost for extra speed when you need to travel faster.

Which unit to get first

Recommended unit to unlock first: Cam Strider. The Dropship can be more effective in some situations, but units dropped by the Dropship may not count as your own units and might not provide Resources the same way. Cam Strider also becomes necessary before you can get the upgraded Cam Strider version, so mastering the regular one early is a good investment.

Best partners to focus on

Camera characters have significantly more characters available in TCU RE-CODE v0.1, making them a solid group to focus on early. For starting playables, consider:

• Dark Speaker
• Speakerwoman
• Camerawoman (decent but less enjoyable for some players)

Titan TV is an important playable to unlock eventually, but focus on it later rather than immediately.

How quests work

When you see an exclamation mark above an NPC, that character has a quest available. Interact with the NPC and go through their dialogue to accept it. Not every NPC behaves the same way — some quest characters can appear at different intervals instead of standing in one location. For example, Plunger can apparently spawn after defeating Rocket Toilet in certain situations. Keep an eye on NPCs and quest markers while playing.

How to unlock and use playables

To equip Playable Protocol, reach Knowledge 2. Titans have additional requirements before you can play as them:

• Titan TV requires: 2 Tech, 2 Strength, and Universe Pieces
• TCM requires: 2 Strength
• TSM requires: 2 Morale

Non-Titan playables may have different requirements depending on the character.

How Tech affects enemy progression

One key mechanic in TCU RE-CODE v0.1: Tech upgrades mainly increase your chances of getting higher-tier equipment. A character can be fully upgraded even when their basic stats appear low.

Enemies also have their own Tech progression. During early game you fight regular Toilets with small sizes and weak equipment. As you enter harder modes, enemies become stronger — they may receive better armor, larger sizes, stronger upgrades, lasers, rockets, and other weapons. The higher the enemy Tech level, the more likely they are to have strong equipment.

Early game loop

1. Fight enemies and collect Resources
2. Spawn your own Partners — kills from your spawned Partners give you Resources
3. Partners automatically spawn during gameplay to assist you
4. Improve your equipment, unlock better weapons, get stronger Partners, and progress through Tech upgrades
5. Accept and complete quests from NPCs marked with exclamation marks
6. Upgrade Analysis for permanent stat improvements

Should you buy materials?

Most materials are not worth buying. The one exception worth considering is Camcorder Memory, depending on your progression needs. Scrap does not seem worth buying at its current price. Enhanced Scrap is especially expensive at around 125 Resources and also requires other Scrap types.

Avoid spending Resources on materials unless you specifically need something important for progression.

Watch out for small enemies

Some tiny enemies can get stuck behind roads or other parts of the environment because they are very small, making them easy to miss. Always keep an eye on the battlefield, especially if you think an enemy is still alive but cannot immediately see where it is. Small enemies can hide in awkward locations and become annoying if ignored.

Let your Partners help you

Your Partners can do a lot of the work for you, especially early on. However, remember to spawn your own Partners — kills from your own spawned Partners give you Resources. Do not rely entirely on automatic units. Use your own Partners to help you build up Resources while fighting.
